Musicians! Interested in playing at Eastham Public Library’s 2027 Winter Music Series? Concerts will be held every other Saturday at 1:00 pm, January – March. Lego Club

Who Tells the Story?” with Storyteller Jim Wolf

In the spring of 1976, during the US Bicentennial year, a skeleton that had been on display for many years in a local history museum was reburied. The ceremony was a collaboration between the Wellfleet Historical Society, the Wampanoag People, and the Cape Cod National Seashore. In attendance that day were members of all three organizations. What actually happened there, at that moment in history, depends upon who is asked!

Storyteller Jim Wolf has tracked several versions of the story to present to you.

“Who Tells the Story” is dedicated to the memory of the late Wamsutta, also known as Frank James, former Nauset Regional High School music teacher and catalyst of the indigenous people’s National Day of Mourning, now observed annually at Plymouth, MA.

According to Jim: “Frank was an important mentor to me, and we had many discussions about the differences between oral and written traditions and the meaning of ‘Truth’. “

Open Mic Night
Tuesday December 15th @ 6PM

Join Eastham Library for an Open Mic Night! There will be 12 6 minute slots open to performers. Sign ups will be open at the beginning of the program. We welcome all musicians, poets, writers, stand-up comedians, dancers, etc to perform! All are welcome. And don’t forget, we need a great audience for these acts, so feel free to stop by and just watch and hang out.

Curious Readers Book Club
Meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month

Calling all bookworms ages 8-12, join us for our Curious Readers Book Club! We will be meeting once a month for a book discussion and activities! For our first meeting on Thursday April 9th, we will be making book journals and readers will receive the book for May!
